KUNAK: Repairs have started on Jalan Jaya Baru and the main route to Pasar Tamu after prolonged neglect.
Kunak District Council Executive Officer, Mohd Nazri Pintal, said the concessionaire began work on Saturday following public complaints reported by Daily Express.
Jalan Jaya Baru, a key route for locals, had over 10 potholes, causing issues for motorists. Another damaged road, Jalan Kg Kadazan 1, will also be repaired soon.
Nazri thanked the media for highlighting the issue, while the Chief Minister urged agencies to act swiftly on road complaints statewide.
