Kota Kinabalu: The RM70.6 million upgrading of Lok Kawi Road is expected to improve connectivity and support Kinarut's continued growth, says WSG Group Managing Director Datuk Susan Wong Siew Guen.
She welcomed the Federal-funded project, saying the widening of the Sabindo Roundabout-SMK Kinarut stretch would ease long-standing traffic congestion and make the township more attractive to residents, investors and businesses.
Susan said WSG Group has developed more than 1,000 homes and over 200 shoplots in Kinarut over the past 18 years, with traffic increasing alongside the area's rapid growth.
She said improved accessibility would strengthen Kinarut's position as an emerging economic hub and complement ongoing investments, including a cinema complex and banquet hall.
Susan also thanked Papar MP Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali for his efforts over the past several years in securing the road upgrading project.
