SIPITANG: Traders who normally operate at Sipitang’s Tuesday and Wednesday weekly tamu from Kampung Bangsal were forced to set up makeshift stalls along the roadside in Kampung Aru Baru after floodwaters blocked the route between Kampung Tanjung Nipis and Kampung Pantai on Wednesday.
Saerah Amba, 55, said this was the first time they had to sell their goods by the roadside in Kampung Aru Baru, but received good response from nearby residents and stranded travellers from the Tenom direction who were unable to proceed due to the flooding.
