Robert MacIntyre endured an absolute nightmare at Augusta National on Thursday and ended up signing for an 80 on day one of The Masters.
MacIntyre has been in fine form on the PGA Tour this season, with three top-four finishes to his name in seven events.
However, the 29-year-old Scot really struggled on day one of The Masters.
Augusta National is a seriously unforgiving golf course, and Robert MacIntyre found that out the hard way on Thursday at The Masters.
MacIntyre headed into The Masters after failing to win The Valero last week in San Antonio, having held the lead after 54 holes of the tournament.

The man from Oban, Scotland, was heavily fancied heading into the tournament this week.
However, everything fell apart on the 15th hole for MacIntyre on Thursday at The Masters.
He was already struggling, but the nine that he made on the par-five ended any lingering hopes he might have had about contending this week.
Aside from his poor golf, though, MacIntyre was seriously under fire for some of the behavior he displayed.
Robert MacIntyre’s behavior under fire at The Masters
MacIntyre was actually one-under par after four holes, before playing the final 14 in nine-over.
He went out in 39 and was three-over par as he stood over his second shot into the par-five 15th.
However, he found the water twice, and ended up with a nine.
MacIntyre has been heavily criticized on X for his behavior immediately after finding the water on the 15th.
The Scot lifted up his middle finger to the camera after his second shot on 15 found a watery grave.
And golf fans took to X in their numbers to criticize the two-time PGA Tour winner.

“Robert MacIntyre should be escorted off the grounds of Augusta National Golf Club for his inexcusable behavior today,“ one fan exclaimed.
Meanwhile, numerous other fans vented their anger, with one saying: “Should be banned from the game,“ and another suggesting that the Augusta National hierarchy need to take action: “He should get a one year ban from the club. This would send a precedent for no more foolish behavior.“
Many golf fans echoed a similar sentiment.
One labeled MacIntyre’s behavior as ‘totally out of order’: “Putting aside his lacklustre play, MacIntyre’s conduct on the back nine was totally out of order. I expect he would have received a stern talking to in the clubhouse.“
“He should be disqualified,“ another golf fan fumed.
While another took aim at MacIntyre’s personality: “He’s so incredibly unlikeable.“
Others suggested that the Scot should leave the Augusta National premises immediately.
“Book your flight out. No respect,“ one fan exclaimed, while another said: “Bobby has thrown the towel in and can’t wait to get off the premises.“
The hits kept coming for the man known as Bobby Mac.
Golf fans rip into Robert MacIntyre’s Masters behavior
One fan questioned whether MacIntyre should be allowed to compete in The Masters again: “I’m not sure if Robert MacIntyre will be invited back to the Masters after this year.“
Meanwhile, another suggested MacIntyre may withdraw from the tournament: “This is a total meltdown. I’m wondering if he’ll WD and face the wrath that comes with it rather than carry on.“
“The green jackets will have a chat with him methinks,“ another fan predicted.
Another said: “Also smashed his club in the turf before this, right after the shot. Not a good look.“
While one golf fan suggested MacIntyre needs to seriously address his anger issues: “Needs an anger management course.“
Robert MacIntyre is obviously a fiery character, but that in no way excuses some of the behaviour he displayed at Augusta National on Thursday.
There is no question that the Augusta hierarchy would have had a word with the Scot after his opening round.
MacIntyre has to learn how to handle his emotions better in certain situations, there really is no doubt about that.
