Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has set his players a season target.

A win over Manchester United would see Leicester City take another step towards their goal of finishing in the top 10 this season.

While challenging for the European positions in the Premier League has been City's target in previous years under Brendan Rodgers, an inactive summer transfer window and woeful start has put them on the back foot in this campaign. And so, they have more modest goals for the remainder of the season.

City head into the weekend in 13th, having been outside of the top 10 since the second week of the season. They have a seven-point gap to 10th-placed Chelsea to bridge, with seventh place, which may offer European football, 11 points away.

That (top 10) was initially our target," Rodgers said. There's a bit of work to do between now and the end of the season. We're not frightened of that. We have a great energy in the team."
