The luxury Swiss watchmaker, Rolex, is representing itself very well at the 2024 Masters Tournament
In a display of dominance, Scheffler reclaimed his spot as World No. 1, outshining a formidable field of golfing elites, including numerous major champions. His impressive rounds of 66, 72, 71, and 68 secured him victory at the Masters Tournament with a total score of 11-under-par, totaling 277 strokes.
A Lasting Partnership
This year marked the 25th anniversary of Rolex’s partnership with the Augusta National Golf Club, steeped in tradition and history. As a testament to Scheffler’s excellence, he joins an esteemed group of Rolex Testimonees who have conquered the Masters multiple times, including legends like Palmer, Player, Nicklaus, Watson, Langer, Olazábal, and Woods.
Following tradition, Scheffler received the coveted Green Jacket from fellow Testimonee and 2023 champion Jon Rahm. The Green Jacket, introduced in 1937, symbolises excellence in golf and represents a pinnacle achievement in the sport and now is the proud symbol of victory as well.
Dedication To Golf
Reflecting on his achievement, Scheffler expressed pride in joining the ranks of Rolex golf legends and the timeless association with the brand. We also couldn’t help but feel so proud of Scheffler for his unwavering dedication to the game and his craft in it, which reflects his hard work too.
The 2024 Masters Tournament also showcased remarkable performances from other Rolex Testimonees. Colin Morikawa, eyeing his first Masters title, finished tied for third, while Woods set a new record with his 24th consecutive cut as well.
The Next Man
Rising star Ludvig Åberg claimed second place in his debut major appearance, buoyed by a stellar 69 amidst challenging winds. Meanwhile, Olazábal, commemorating the 30th anniversary of his first Masters victory, showcased his championship calibre with a commendable performance, marking his best finish at Augusta National since 2014.
