The highly anticipated 98th Oscars® took place earlier this morning (MYT), and as is tradition, the event honoured the world’s best films, filmmakers and actors. At the Dolby® Theatre at Ovation Hollywood, guests were gathered together for one of the biggest nights in entertainment—many of whom are visionary filmmakers, actors and craftspeople behind the technical innovations and hidden machinations that define cinema. And at the centre of it all, Rolex joined in as Proud Sponsor of the Oscars®, recognising this past year’s greatest filmmaking achievements across many disciplines.

Just off the main stage, Rolex was also the official host of the Oscars® Greenroom this year, its tenth run since 2016—unveiling a new design each year. Here in this elegant space, presenters, nominees and winners alike can unwind as the show goes on. And this year, as Rolex celebrates the 100th anniversary of the iconic Oyster model, the Greenroom design is inspired by both the spirit of innovation and the long-standing heritage of the brand.

Think green velvet for timeless elegance, while brushed metal in refined champagne gold finishes, bringing a sophisticated visual harmony to the space. The green and gold tones of course pay tribute to Rolex’s signature colours, while also reflecting the timeless glamour of cinema. In classic Old Hollywood fashion aka the Golden Age of cinema, the gold accents also evoke the allure and brilliance of the film industry, while green underscores the brand’s legacy and connection to excellence.

In the Greenroom too, guests are face to face portraits of the greatest stars from Oscars® history who have highlighted the magic and artistry of cinema, creating a space that honours both a century of watchmaking and Hollywood’s most memorable moments.
