Ronda Rousey has said she believes she would get the better of Holly Holm if they ever meet again in an MMA rematch.
Back in November 2015, Rousey suffered a famous head-kick knockout defeat to Holm at UFC 193.
Just over a year later, Rousey walked away from the sport after being stopped by Amanda Nunes in just 48 seconds at UFC 207.
Earlier this month, Rousey made her return to the sport after a 10-year absence, submitting Gina Carano in just 17 seconds.
Ronda Rousey shuts down talk of Holly Holm rematch

Holm gave her opinion on the UFC Hall of Famer’s comeback during an interview this week. When Rousey was later asked about Holm’s remarks, she made it clear there’s no interest on her side either.
“I said I’m retired,” the former UFC bantamweight champion told The Up & Adams Show. “I’m not training for fights anymore. I’m not in fight shape anymore.”
“I think that I’m a completely different fighter now, and I would clean her clock. I definitely have the ability and the opportunity to be able to clean her clock and rewrite all of that, but it’s no longer important to me anymore.”
“It doesn’t haunt me. It’s not the most important thing in my life, and these people’s perceptions and people knowing how great I am, and all this stuff.”
“I know how good I am, and my kids need me in their lives, and I want to be there for them, and this isn’t the most important thing anymore.”
“And of course, the time that I get where I can now go back and do that, I don’t want to go back, I only want to go forward.”
Holly Holm gives her view on Ronda Rousey
Speaking with Ariel Helwani, Holm had nothing but positive things to say about Rousey. Still, she didn’t expect the two to cross paths in the cage again.
“I highly doubt she’ll ever want a rematch,” Holm said. “I always have said since the minute the last fight was over, I’ll always rematch her. That’s always been available.
“But she wanted to come back and have this win and go back and enjoy and have a win like that. No hate from me. I hope she does well. I hope she does whatever she wants with her life. That’s her life. I’d always be open to fight her again.”
Rousey’s comments seem to confirm Holm’s prediction – it doesn’t look like there will be another meeting between these two former champions.
