Rory McIlroy failed to deliver on Sunday at the PGA Championship.
McIlroy definitely hasn’t had his ‘A’ game this week at Aronimink, but he headed into the final round of the PGA Championship with a good chance of winning his second major championship in a row.
However, the Northern Irishman struggled to hole the putts he needed to gain any kind of momentum.
Rory McIlroy cut a frustrated figure around Aronimink on Sunday as his hopes of winning the PGA Championship began to fade on the back nine.

Rory McIlroy has fan kicked out during PGA Championship final round
It was a tough day all round for the six-time major champion at Aronimink.
He just couldn’t get anything going on the front nine on Sunday and as his round went on, it became clear that he would not be challenging.
McIlroy bogeyed the 13th hole before making a birdie on the 14th.
He parred the 15th and then made a mess of the par-five 16th, although he did make par eventually.
As McIlroy’s hopes of winning slipped away, a fan from the gallery appeared to shout something in McIlroy’s direction after he hit his third shot into the bunker short of the green.

McIlroy turned around to face the fan and asked security to escort them out of the property.

There were suggestions that the fan in question simply shouted ‘USA’ in McIlroy’s direction.
And if that was the case, that’s pretty poor from McIlroy.
Just look how Matt Fitzpatrick dealt with similar chants at Hilton Head when he came up against Scottie Scheffler in a playoff.
It hasn’t been confirmed what the fan actually said, so we will reserve our judgement until the Northern Irishman speaks to reporters after his round.
