A play built around the Gisele Pelicot trial is coming to London with a cast led by Rosie O'Donnell, Bridgerton's Adjoa Andoh, Celebrity Traitors star Julie Hesmondhalgh and EastEnders actor Tamzin Outhwaite.
The production, titled The Pelicot Trial, was created by Swiss director and playwright Milo Rau.
It draws on accounts from the trial itself, alongside police files, social commentary and psychiatric reports relating to the 51 men who were prosecuted.
The London staging is a one-off event, performed by 30 actors and public figures. It forms part of the Young Vic Theatre's final shows of its 2026/27 season.
Further names to look out for include The Sixth Sense star Olivia Williams, Slow Horses' Kadiff Kirwan and Dune actor Sharon Duncan-Brewster.
Bridgerton's Lorraine Ashbourne and Rizzle Kicks rapper Jordan Stephens are also among the cast. They will be joined by Alice In Wonderland's Leo Bill, Truly, Madly, Deeply star Juliet Stevenson and All Creatures Great And Small actor Samuel West.
More casting will be announced in the coming weeks.
Ms Pelicot's ex-husband, Dominique Pelicot, was jailed for 20 years for drugging and raping her, as well as allowing other men to rape her while she was unconscious.
The abuse lasted nearly a decade. The 73-year-old waived her right to anonymity as a survivor of sexual abuse. She said shame should fall on her abusers, not her.
The play was developed in collaboration with journalists and local feminist organisations in France. It received its world premiere at the Vienna Festival.
It has since toured to cities including Avignon, New York, Lisbon, Milan, and Bergen, performed by a different company in each city.
The Pelicot Trial will be performed at the London County Hall on Monday 30 November. The performance will also be live-streamed worldwide.
Tickets go on general sale on Wednesday.
