The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah conveyed their heartfelt appreciation to the dedicated personnel of Istana Negara, recognizing their outstanding service over the course of His Majesty’s five-year reign. This expression of gratitude was made during the 'Malam 1000 Kenangan' program at Istana Negara on Friday, January 26, as highlighted in an official Facebook post by Istana Negara.
The event, organized by the palace staff under the guidance of Istana Negara’s Grand Chamberlain Datuk Azuan Effendy Zairakithnaini, served as a special tribute to Their Majesties in celebration of the conclusion of Al-Sultan Abdullah’s tenure as the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong on January 30.
In attendance were also the children of Their Majesties, adding a familial touch to the proceedings. As a fitting conclusion to the program, Their Majesties were treated to a special video screening and a lively flash mob performance by the dedicated palace employees, who also rendered a rendition of the patriotic song ‘Setia.’ This thoughtful and artistic tribute encapsulated the collective appreciation and respect for the royal couple's impactful reign.
