Also in attendance were Yang Amat Mulia Tuanku Sultanah Hajjah Kalsom Abdullah, Yang Mulia Tengku Asra, Yang Mulia Tengku Alana and Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Hajah Raghad Waleed Alkurdi Taib, underscoring the significance of the occasion in celebrating Malaysian heritage through contemporary design.

Located on Level 1 of Bangsar Shopping Centre, Royal Sembilan's first flagship boutique has been conceived as far more than a retail destination. It offers an immersive brand experience where fashion, culture and artistry converge, inviting visitors to discover collections that reinterpret the royal heritage of Negeri Sembilan through a distinctly modern and sophisticated perspective.

Perhaps even more remarkable is the vision behind the House itself. At 74 years old, Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Puteri Jawahir continues to demonstrate that age is never a barrier to creativity, purpose or innovation. Rather than slowing down, she has embarked on an inspiring journey to celebrate and preserve the royal heritage of Negeri Sembilan through Royal Sembilan, transforming decades of cultural knowledge, royal traditions and artistic appreciation into a contemporary luxury fashion house that resonates with today's generation while honouring the legacy of the past.

Established with a vision of celebrating Negeri Sembilan's rich artistic and cultural identity through elevated contemporary fashion, Royal Sembilan goes beyond simply recreating traditional attire. Instead, the House transforms heritage into wearable luxury, producing sophisticated ready-to-wear and bespoke collections designed for the modern woman while ensuring that the state's cultural legacy continues to evolve through contemporary expression.

One of the defining signatures of Royal Sembilan's latest collections is its exclusive original digital print artwork, inspired by the breathtaking landscapes, scenery and cultural essence of Negeri Sembilan. These distinctive prints reinterpret the state's natural beauty through contemporary patterns, elegant silhouettes and refined colour palettes, brought to life using luxurious fabrics and innovative textile techniques that appeal to a wider audience while remaining deeply rooted in heritage.

The collections also pay tribute to Bungolado (Bunga + Lada), the delicate chilli flower that serves as Negeri Sembilan's official state flower. Woven throughout the House's creative narrative, the floral motif symbolises Royal Sembilan's commitment to celebrating local identity while presenting it through refined contemporary fashion.

Leading the creative direction of the House is Anuar Faizal, whose role as Creative Director has been instrumental in shaping Royal Sembilan's distinctive identity. Working closely alongside the brand's founder, he reimagines Negeri Sembilan's royal heritage through a contemporary luxury lens, transforming traditional craftsmanship, cultural narratives and artisanal textile techniques into elegant collections that honour their origins while embracing modern lifestyles.

Under his creative leadership, Royal Sembilan has emerged as a distinctive Malaysian maison where heritage is not preserved as something confined to history, but continually reinterpreted as timeless luxury that remains relevant for generations to come.

Reflecting this philosophy, the flagship boutique itself has been thoughtfully curated to complement the House's collections. Warm textures, elegant interiors and carefully considered design details celebrate craftsmanship, artistry and understated luxury, encouraging visitors to discover the stories behind each creation while experiencing the seamless fusion of heritage and contemporary design.

Following the official launch ceremony, invited guests enjoyed an exclusive media preview and private boutique experience, offering the first opportunity to explore Royal Sembilan's newest collections while gaining deeper insight into the inspiration, craftsmanship and creative vision behind the House.

The elegant afternoon was further enhanced with official furniture and set styling by Merite Design Studio, accompanied by refreshments specially curated by Kopinuts Malaysia. Guests also experienced coffee prepared using Philips Home Living Malaysia's newly launched Baristina Espresso Machine, adding another thoughtful touch to the boutique experience.

The event also received support from the National Department for Culture and Arts (JKKN) through the participation of the Mah Meri Cultural Village, further reinforcing the shared commitment to preserving and celebrating Malaysia's rich cultural heritage.

Beyond creating luxury fashion, Royal Sembilan reflects Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Puteri Jawahir's enduring belief that heritage should never remain confined to museums or history books. Instead, it should continue to live, evolve and inspire through contemporary design, craftsmanship and meaningful storytelling.

The opening of the flagship boutique therefore represents far more than a retail expansion. It stands as a powerful testament to how tradition and innovation can coexist harmoniously, reaffirming Royal Sembilan's commitment to placing Negeri Sembilan's artistic heritage on both the national and international stage.

As Royal Sembilan welcomed guests into its new home, the House celebrated not merely the opening of its first flagship boutique, but also the remarkable vision of a 74-year-old royal whose passion for culture, craftsmanship and her beloved Negeri Sembilan continues to inspire a new generation—proving that heritage is timeless when it is shared with purpose.
