Kota Kinabalu: Foreign tourists demand high hotel standards and a good environment. Therefore hotels with poorly maintained infrastructure would struggle to attract tourists, said the Sabah Association of Tour and Travel Agents (Satta).
Its Chairman, Dato’ Seri Winston Liaw, said many hotels complained about lack of business but without realisng it was due to lack of maintenance.
“Some are unfit for staying due to unhygienic conditions and rundown.
