BEAUFORT: Sabah Ethnic Roots Association (Presbah) has suggested to the State Health Department to set up a think tank and sustainable development committee to act as an advisory panel to improve hospitals in the State.
Its president Yahya Ahmad said input from the committee could be submitted to the Government for the betterment of healthcare in Sabah.
“Times have changed, but some of our equipment is outdated, and how long should Queen Elizabeth Hospital 1 be the primary centralised reference when some patients from various districts have to be burdened with cost and time-consuming travels?
“Specialists centres in the district hospitals should be set up soon, for example, for eye treatment.
