George Russell denied Mercedes team-mate Kimi Antonelli a sweep of all practice sessions for the Austrian Formula One Grand Prix on Saturday and Lewis Hamilton also made his presence felt again.
Russell clocked 1 minute 7.134 seconds in the third practice session on the ,321-kilometres Red Bull Ring.
He pipped Antonelli, who had won both of Friday's sessions, by .038 of a second.
Ferrari's Hamilton was just over one-tenth back in third, followed by the McLarens of Oscar Piastri and reigning champion Lando Norris and former champion Max Verstappen in the home race of his Red Bull team.
The result promises exciting qualifying later on another very hot day in Austria, with the race to follow on Sunday.
Russell has not won a grand prix proper since the season-opener in Australia. The next five races were won by Antonelli before the Italian teenager failed to finish two weeks ago in Barcelona where Hamilton celebrated his first victory as a Ferrari driver.
Antonelli tops the championship 41 points ahead of Hamilton and 50 ahead of Russell.
