Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has confirmed he was close to leaving for Bayern Munich over the summer.
Gundogan was considering his options at the time as new contract talks dragged on.
"Let's say this - my sources would confirm it, today I can say that there were negotiations with Bayern Munich.
"But we did not agree for various reasons," Gndogan told SZ.
"And now I am very happy in Man City, I do not think there is a better club for me right now and not a better coach either."
