KUALA LUMPUR – The Malaysian Football League (MFL) has appointed Ryt Bank, the world’s first artificial intelligence (AI)-powered bank, as the official digital banking partner and official video assistant referee (VAR) technology partner of the Malaysia League (M-League).
In a statement today, MFL described the partnership as a milestone for Malaysian football, combining technology, innovation and national pride to propel the domestic league to new heights.
MFL president Datuk Ab Ghani Hassan said the collaboration reflects both organisations’ shared vision to elevate the standards of the professional game.
“We warmly welcome Ryt Bank to the MFL family. This partnership reflects a new direction for Malaysian football — one that is modern, professional and driven by innovation,” he said.
Ab Ghani added that the alliance underscores the M-League’s growing appeal to corporate partners seeking to strengthen their engagement with Malaysian audiences.
Ryt Bank chief executive officer Melvin Ooi said the company was proud to play a role in promoting transparency and fairness in football as the league’s official VAR technology partner.
“This collaboration proves that when technology and the people’s spirit come together, we can all do the Ryt thing — for the sport, for the nation,” Ooi said. — October 22, 2025
