The popular S20 Songkran Music Festival is launching a K-pop spinoff named K20. Here’s what you need to know.

Ever since 2015, S20 has been a must-visit destination for Songkran party-goers. Aside from the festivities taking place all over the country, S20 has had stellar EDM artists as headliners to really get the self-titled “world’s wettest party” going. This year isn’t any different: Alan Walker and Steve Aoki as Lonely Club is set to perform amongst other artists from April 11 to 13 at S20 Land.

But this year, S20 surprised fans by announcing that it was holding another festival on April 14. S20 is launching the K20 K-Pop Songkran Music Festival for K-pop fans and lovers.

Building on the success of S20 and modelled after how that festival is set up, K20 will put the focus on K-pop while still having the same wet party vibes that the original festival is known for. The organisers have promised a massive stage with great show production as well as a lineup of hot new K-pop artists that are starting to make it big on the scene.

The lineup for the inaugural K20 Songkran Music Festival includes Riize, Kiss of Life, Lngshot, Fifty Fifty, and T-pop artists Daou and Offroad. Unlike S20, which is limited to those 20 years old and above, K20 is open to all ages. However, those under 13 years old still require adult supervision.

While S20 runs for three days, K20 will only take place on April 14, with doors opening at 2pm and shows starting at 5pm. Tickets are already live and are priced starting at THB 2,500 for Phase 1. Prices will increase as tickets for each phase run out.

S20 has been a great success, even launching a US version in Los Angeles last year. It’ll be interesting to see how the new K-pop centred K20 Songkran Music Festival will fare. But with no shortage of K-pop fans across all ages, it’s bound to be a hit.
