Arsenal have launched a two-year loan for Juventus defender Daniele Rugani.

Gazzetta dello Sport says the Gunners have twice been in the hunt for the Italian star and could now make their move amidst a defensive crisis.

Arsenal considered a move in 2015 and in 2018 and now Raul Sanllehi could mastermind yet another amazing deal.

Rugani has been down then pecking order for years now thanks to the likes of Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci, despite being thought as one of Italy's top prospects.

Now, with the arrival of Matthijs De Ligt, Rugani, 25, stands to lose even more minutes and could be keen to move - after playing just 15 times in the league last season.
