He said this development aligns with the State Government’s goal to position Saip as an incubation hub for local agro-industry and biotechnology entrepreneurs.
“Saip is more than just an industrial park, it is a platform for talent development, innovation, and high-value manufacturing that will propel Sabah forward in the agro-biotech sector,” Phoong said.
During the event, CAIQ Biosecurity Sdn Bhd also presented a proposal for a joint venture with Saip to establish the industrial park as a key centre for testing, inspection and registration of food, supplements, agricultural, and aquaculture products from Sabah for export to China.
Situated on a 215-acre site in Kimanis, Papar, Saip is recognised as a crucial catalyst for advancing Sabah’s agricultural sector and providing opportunities for farmers, entrepreneurs and industries to grow.
