Sabah champs again in Malaysia Prisons 10s Rugby Championship

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Prisons secured their fourth successive title in the Malaysia Prisons 10s Rugby Championship in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan on Monday.

They received the Commissioner General Cup from Deputy Commissioner General of Prisons Ahmad Faudzi Awang, after beating Perak Prisons 12-7 in the final.

In addition, team member TuryBius Bernabas was also named the best forward of the tournament.

Coach Mohammad Morunah said the team’s success was due to thorough preparation and praised the players for their disciplined display throughout the tournament, while manager Abdul Kadir Kuning thanked the Director of Sabah State Prisons Tey Hock Soon, the Prison Institutions, KK Sharks Rugby Club, Sabah Rugby Union and others for their support.
