Sabah CM Hajiji Noor reminds voters to choose GRS in state election, citing economic development and successful governance record.
KUDAT: Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor has reminded voters not to support political parties that have previously failed to govern the state effectively.
Speaking at a Gabungan Rakyat Sabah campaign event in Dataran Tomborungus Kudat, he urged voters to instead choose GRS based on its proven performance over the past five years.
“The GRS government has implemented various initiatives and programmes as well as increased economic development including revenue collection and state reserves,” he said.
Hajiji, who chairs the GRS coalition, emphasised their goal to elevate Sabah to be on par with other Malaysian states following the election.
He specifically asked Banggi and Tanjong Kapor constituents to support the party’s candidates in their respective constituencies.
Hajiji expressed confidence in both candidates, noting they possess clear visions for local development particularly in education and infrastructure.
The chief minister stated that a renewed mandate for GRS would ensure continuity of the Sabah Maju Jaya 2.0 Roadmap development agenda.
He highlighted economic achievements including attracting investors and establishing the Blue Economy Industrial Park in Kudat.
“This will definitely provide job opportunities for the residents of this district,” Hajiji added.
He concluded by cautioning voters against being influenced by claims that GRS constitutes a failed government.
