Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah China Chamber of Commerce (SCCC) welcomes collaborations with other business associations, government agencies and institutions, said its President Datuk Frankie Liew.

Speaking at the SCCC’s recent Chinese New Year Fellowship Dinner 2025 here, he said the Chamber had previously worked alongside the State Government and partnered with various business organisations to successfully host several major international trade events.

AdvertisementLiew said these included the first Sabah Chinese Economic Conference and the Belt and Road High-Quality International Forum in 2023, and the Sabah-Zhuhai Trade and Investment Conference, the first Sabah-China Business Forum and the first Sabah-China Expo in 2024.

“With everyone’s collective efforts, each of these events achieved milestone-level success, establishing Sabah’s reputation and credibility in international trade cooperation.

On the core mission of SCCC, Liew said it is to build strong, trustworthy enterprises and businesses, providing vital information and networking opportunities between the governments of Sabah, Malaysia, and China. “We aim to facilitate cooperation and connectivity between the official and business sectors of both regions.”

“This gathering lays an important foundation for future collaboration and partnerships,” Liew said.
