
Kota Kinabalu: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor is confident that the strategic relationship between Sabah and the People’s Republic of China will continue to be strengthened through diplomatic relations and various joint development initiatives.
He said the Sabah Government is committed to providing a conducive and investor-friendly investment environment to attract more Chinese companies to invest in Sabah, especially in strategic industrial areas.
“I believe the presence of the new Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Kota Kinabalu, Dr Zhu Xinglong, will give a new impetus to the bilateral cooperation that has been established between Sabah and China, especially in the investment, trade, tourism, education and other sectors,” he said.

Zhu paid an introductory visit to the Sabah Chief Minister on his appointment as Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Kota Kinabalu to replace Dr Huang Shifang.
During the meeting, Hajiji congratulated Zhu on his appointment and welcomed his arrival to Sabah.
