Kota Kinabalu: The State Government remains committed to establishing the agrifood sector as a key driver to bolster Sabah's economy and improve the people's wellbeing, said Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.
Masidi, who is also state Finance Minister, held a meeting recently with Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Industry Minister Datuk Jamawi Jaafar to address the ministry's priority matters.
The session examined the current implementation status of projects under Maffi alongside identifying matters requiring immediate attention and follow-up action.
Masidi said close coordination between Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Industry Ministry (Maffi) and his ministry is essential to ensure identified initiatives are carried out systematically for the benefit of the people.
He added that developing the agriculture, fisheries, and food manufacturing sectors must remain a priority to secure state food supplies while supporting wider economic growth through enhanced inter-agency cooperation.
