CHAN Loong Wei has been unanimously elected as the new Sabah Democratic Action Party Socialist Youth (DAPSY) Chief.

The 25-year-old thanked outgoing Chief Vivian Wong and previous Sabah DAPSY leaders for their mentorship.

“We must lead by example, DAPSY must continue the good practice of DAP where we do not abuse our government positions for the benefit of the party, we must continue to uphold integrity and show to the public that we are different from others.

However, he assured that DAPSY would stand firm against baseless attacks on the party.

He also urged members to unite behind Sabah DAP Chairman Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe, emphasising the need to prepare the party to face the next state election as a cohesive and united front.
