Kota Kinabalu: Both the Sabah Economic Advisory Council (SEAC) and Kota Kinabalu Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KKCCCI) regret the Federal Tourism Ministry’s shock and arbitrary suspension of Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) agents nationwide on the eve of Sabah’s programme launch.

SEAC Chairman Tan Sri David Chu said it supported and worked very closely with Sabah Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Christina Liew since Sabah-MM2H was conceived.

After months of detailed preparations and hard work, it is grossly disappointing that Motac (Federal Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture) deemed it fit to suspend all MM2H agents nationwide without notice.

“Motac’s action ignored the efforts and loss of money suffered by the MM2H agents. Needless to say, many foreigners who are preparing to apply or intend to apply for the Sabah-MM2H programme are gravely disappointed.
