Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) and Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM) Sabah Branch plan to jointly hold an ESG summit themed “Building Sustainability Together” in November this year to foster collaboration and joint efforts towards achieving sustainable development goals.

SESB Chief Strategy Officer Ernie Zainie initially brought up the plan when leading a SESB delegation in paying a courtesy call on at the association premises here on June 20, to discuss matters related to environment, social and corporate governance (ESG).

In light of the shared objectives and aligned interests, SESB also extended an invitation to IEM Sabah to join forces as co-organisers for the significant event.

The collaboration between SESB and IEM Sabah aims to leverage their combined expertise, experience, and networks to deliver a thought-provoking and impactful ESG Summit that will contribute to the region’s sustainable development.
