
SANDAKAN: The Sabah Golf and Country Club (SGCC) has announced its official slate of candidates for the 2025/26 General Committee elections, set to take place today (Sunday).
The election is expected to bring in a forward-looking leadership team focused on driving innovation, fostering unity, and building upon the club’s distinguished legacy.
The proposed key office bearers include Ian Yong Wai Ching as President, Datu Khalilurrahman Bin Datu Khalil as Deputy President, Anthony Ho as Captain, Julia Huvong as Secretary, and Kenny Wong as Treasurer.

Under the campaign theme “Driving Innovation, Fostering Unity, and Growing Our Club’s Legacy Together,” the candidates have pledged to increase revenue, enhance membership value, and modernise facilities across the club.
Presidential candidate Ian Yong Wai Ching said the team is committed to listening to members and balancing tradition with meaningful progress for a vibrant SGCC future.
Deputy Presidential candidate Datu Khalilurrahman echoed the sentiment, urging members to cast their votes and help shape the future of SGCC through active participation.
