
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Immigration Department detained 21 foreign nationals in two raids on entertainment premises here and in Penampang under Ops Gegar on Sunday.
The midnight operation, led by enforcement officers, followed a three-week investigation into suspected immigration violations.
Seven individuals were arrested at the first location, while 14 were detained at the second, comprising citizens of the Philippines, Vietnam, and Indonesia.
Authorities also seized business licences, cash, rental agreements, and logbooks as evidence.
All detainees are being investigated for immigration offences, including overstaying and misuse of travel passes.
