
Kota Kinabalu: Bersatu Deputy President Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin has been reminded not to politicise the basic infrastructure problems in Sabah.
Tandek Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) Chief, Datuk Dr Janathan Kandok, said the problems of water supply, electricity and roads in Sabah were inherited from the previous government.

“The GRS Government under the leadership of Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor is doing its best in overcoming the problems. It is a bit excessive for Hamzah to criticise the GRS Government which only inherited the issue.

If you (Hamzah) are so confident, then prove it in the next election,” he said in a statement on Saturday.
He also told Hamzah that Sabahans would not be influenced by sentiments as if the basic infrastructure problems faced today happened only after the 2020 general election.

He said the Chief Minister had already briefed the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, on Sabah’s plans in addressing the water problem.

It covers six programmes involving 20 projects throughout Sabah including in Kota Kinabalu City, Tuaran, Putatan, Papar, Beaufort, Keningau, Tawau, Lahad Datu and Sandakan.
