KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Kinabalu Pink Ribbon has been urged to intensify activities and programmes to raise public awareness of women's health.
The Chief Minister's wife, Datin Seri Juliah Salag, said the organisation plays a crucial role not only in awareness campaigns but also in supporting those affected by breast cancer.
She encouraged Kinabalu Pink Ribbon branches in districts to conduct outreach programmes at the grassroots level to educate the public on the importance of early detection.
Speaking during a courtesy visit by Sabah Kinabalu Pink Ribbon at the Chief Minister’s official residence, Sri Gaya, on Thursday, she emphasised that early screening and treatment are vital in saving lives.
Juliah welcomed the organisation’s initiative to hold the "13th Mother's Day Walk Abreast 2025" on May 4 at Likas Bay Public Park, urging community support to ensure its success and raise funds for essential medical equipment and treatment.
