
Kota Kinabalu: The State Government will start its Sabah Malaysia My Second Home (Sabah MM2H) programme, beginning today (Dec 12), with its recently reviewed criteria.
The programme is placed under the purview of the State Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment (KePKAS).
AdvertisementAnnouncing this in a statement Wednesday, the Secretariat of the Sabah MM2H programme said the new criteria aims to attract participants from all nations with diplomatic relations with Malaysia and to give them options of different levels of financial commitment.
It stated that Sabah MM2H’s criteria offers three categories of applications, namely Silver, Gold and Platinum.

“Sabah offers a safe and conducive environment for all ages, with good weather throughout the year and an affordable living cost.

The yearly minimum stay in Sabah is 30 days cumulative, making the programme very attractive and friendly.

According to the statement, all applications can be made through licensed agents for Sabah MM2H.
“The State Government has issued licences to local companies which can assist applicants in their application.”
The Secretariat emphasised that the Government is confident that the Sabah MM2H programme will bring positive economic impact to the State.
“Economic spin-off is expected to benefit the local market. Many potential participants have registered their interest in the programme and the Government is committed to making the programme a success,” the statement added.
