Kota Kinabalu: Sabah needs about 35 per cent of its revenue to come from the manufacturing sector to become a state with a more advanced economy, said Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Dr Joachim Gunsalam.
Joachim, who is also State Industrial Development Minister, said so far, the contribution of the manufacturing sector to the gross domestic product (GDP) in Sabah is only 7.5 per cent of the RM80 billion recorded so far.
