Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Pensioners Association wants a yearly pension increment from 2pc to 5pc, said association president Datuk Wilfred Lingham.

He said this proposed increment will ease the high cost of living felt by retirees in Sabah.

In response to a memorandum submitted to the government by Kelab Pesara Kerajaan Malaysia in conjunction with Hari Pesara Malaysia recently, he said the increment requested is insufficient to cover the cost of living in the State.
