PUTRAJAYA - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to resume campaigning for the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition in the 17th Sabah State Election after concluding his visits to three African countries.

Senior press secretary to the Prime Minister Tunku Nashrul Abaidah said the PH chairman had personally reaffirmed his commitment to lead the coalition’s campaign for the Sabah polls.

"At present, the plan is for him to travel to Sabah to continue campaigning in the remaining days before polling day.

"The Prime Minister’s Office, together with the PH team, will share his Sabah schedule once it has been finalised with all parties,” he said during a media briefing at the Prime Minister’s Office here today.

The Prime Minister will undertake an official visit to Ethiopia from Nov 18 to 20, followed by a working visit to South Africa to attend the G20 Leaders’ Summit as ASEAN chair from Nov 20 to 23.

He will then make an official visit to Kenya on Nov 23 and 24 before returning home on Nov 25.

The Election Commission has set the polling day for the state election on Nov 29, with early voting on Nov 25. - BERNAMA
