
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah saw more than 1.6 million tourist arrivals the first six months, said State Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Christina Liew.Of this, 17,000 were from China.
“This has injected vitality and hope into our tourism industry. It demonstrates that despite global challenges, Sabah continues to maintain a strong appeal, attracting visitors from around the world to experience our natural beauty and unique culture,” she said.
Her speech at the closing of the 2023 Chinese Cultural Holiday Programme at Kian Kok Middle School, Sunday, was read by her Political Secretary Vivien Lee.
