
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s Covid-19 cases shot up by 83 to 254 Wednesday from Tuesday’s 171 cases.
“The increase is due to the higher positivity rate (13.23 per cent) compared to Tuesday’s 8.15 per cent,” said Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun in a statement.
He said there were 1,920 test samples compared to Tuesday’s 2,099.
Nine districts recorded double-digit cases, namely Kota Kinabalu with 43 (-9), Lahad Datu 34 (+23), Tuaran 33 (-1), Penampang 27 (+15), Kota Belud 24 (+17), Papar 17 (maintain), Kota Marudu 13 (+10), Sandakan 13 (+13) and Tawau 12 (+5).
Six districts did not record any changes over the last 24-hours.
Of the 254 cases recorded on Wednesday, 246 cases are in Category
One and Two, four in Category Three, three in Category Four and one in Category Five.
