
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah's sole cement maker said their have resolved their machinery breakdown issue which had caused supplies disruption recently.
Cement Industries (Sabah) Sdn Bhd (CIS), in a statement, said their plant at Sepanggar bay had a major main machinery breakdown in October that reduced its production capacity by 40 percent from 2,400 tonnes per day to 1,400 tonnes that disrupted the cement supply.
The repair works took one month to complete and the plant operation resumed its normal operation in early November.
CIS has since increased its cement delivery to clear backlog orders.
