Sabah's SPM achievements improve in 2022

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah recorded an improvement in the 2022 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examinations with an increase in the National Average Grade (GPN) from 5.35 in 2021 to 5.22.

Sabah Education Department Deputy Director (School Management Sector) Mohd Zaini Yanin said the percentage of students qualified to receive their certificates also increased to 92.37 in 2022 from 89.76 per cent the year before.

He said a total of 34,461 students sat for the 2022 SPM examinations out of the 40,147 who registered for them.
