Kota Kinabalu: Sabah is keen to strengthen bilateral ties with Canada by exploring fresh trade and investment opportunities, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
Hajiji said this during a courtesy call by the High Commissioner of Canada to Malaysia, Jodi Robinson, at Menara Kinabalu on Wednesday.
He briefed Robinson on the State’s focus on the Blue Economy, highlighting potential aquaculture collaborations for Canadian investors and strategic partners.
He also noted that Sabah's industrial parks—including KKIP, POIC Lahad Datu, Sogip, and the Kudat Blue Economy Industrial Park—are ready for foreign investment.
Hajiji expressed hope that the visit would pave the way for greater economic cooperation and draw Canadian capital to bolster the State's growth.
