TAMBUNAN: The Sabah Education Department is in the process of achieving the 90:10 ratio of local and outside teachers, said its Director Tah Nia Jaman.
Towards this end, she said there were certain obstacles, especially in subjects like Islamic Education.
“The department still needs teachers from the peninsula or anywhere to ensure that the quota can be met. But overall, the 90:10 ratio is in the process of being achieved and is running smoothly,” she told a press conference after officiating the 2021 and 2022 Excellent Service Award (APC) and Jasamu Dikenang for retiree teachers for the district education office level, here, Monday.
