FORMER Deputy President of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli, has urged the party to sack him if his explanation regarding the four charges against him violates the party's constitution.
The Pandan MP came forward to answer all four charges after receiving a second show-cause letter from the PKR Disciplinary Board dated April 9, including one related to admonishing the PKR leadership not to cultivate the practice of ‘bodek’.
Rafizi, in a statement, said that this was not a new matter; in fact, he had often mentioned it face-to-face with PKR President, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, in his series of speeches at the party congress.
"Recordings of my remarks about the ‘bodek’ culture that flourishes in this party are widely circulated on social media,” he said.
For the second charge regarding the gathering by a group of young activists called the Azam Baki Arrest Secretariat, Rafizi denied organising the gathering as alleged in the show cause letter.
Rafizi clarified that the gathering was no different from the Bersih one organised by non-partisan groups and invited figures from various fields, including politicians, to speak.
Thirdly, Rafizi also responded to the accusation that the party President allegedly allowed his supporters to spread slander.
For the fourth charge, Rafizi responded regarding his reports on the PKR President’s conduct regarding several specific individuals.
"I hope the PKR Disciplinary Board makes a firm, quick decision and no longer delays this matter because the people are fed up.
"If my explanation is considered to violate the party constitution, then take action and dismiss me as was done to other party members who were previously subject to disciplinary charges," said Rafizi. – April 10, 2026
