Sacked Germany assistant coach Danny Rohl is a candidate for the Sheffield Wednesday job.
The Owls are seeking a new manager after the sacking of Xisco Munoz.
The Sheffield Star says Rohl is being discussed at Hillsborough after they made an attempt over the summer when he was still under contract with the DFB.
Rohl is a former Southampton assistant manager and has also worked at Bayern Munch and RB Leipzig.
Wednesday hope to make a decision in the next 48 hours.
