"I DON’T care because the accusations are all untrue," said Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor firmly when commenting on allegations of certain parties who often blame her as the cause of the downfall of former Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
The wife of the former national leader described all the accusations hurled against her as baseless and instead chose not to let the insults disturb her emotions.
According to her, individuals closest to her, including family members and friends, know the truth behind all the negative narratives constructed by outside parties.
In a meeting with Berita Harian at her residence, Rosmah, who appeared calm, explained that her priority now is to remain strong for the survival and strength of all her family members in facing the current difficult test.
However, she could not hide her resentment towards some parties, especially political leaders, who seemed to be celebrating the suffering her family was experiencing.
"What is sad is when there are parties who rejoice in the hardships and trials of our family," she said, referring to the cheering reaction of several party leaders after Najib was convicted of crimes related to the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) case.
"No matter how much hatred they have towards Najib and me, I don't think anyone should rejoice over our hardship," she said in an upset tone.
Revealing her husband's feelings, Rosmah said the former Prime Minister's biggest regret was losing the opportunity to see his grandchildren grow up before his eyes.
"There were many milestones in the family that he missed. That's what we regret the most.
"The grandchildren all love their grandfather very much and often ask about Najib. We try our best to protect them and share as much as we can," she added.
Last Friday, Najib was sentenced to 15 years in prison and a fine of RM11.38 billion on 25 charges involving abuse of power and money laundering totalling RM2.3 billion from 1MDB funds. – December 29, 2025
