Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Football Association (Safa) Tenom will be organising the Kaamatan Cup football tournament to be held at the Tenom town field on May-30-31.
Its president Datuk Peter Anthony said they are expecting overwhelming response although the tournament is only open to teams from the district.
According to him, the champions in the men’s category will receive a cash prize of RM5,000 followed by RM2,000 for the runners-up , RM1,000 for third place winners and RM500 each for finishing in fourth and fifth place.
There will also be cash prizes of RM200 each given to the best player, top scorer and best goalkeeper awarded during the tournament.

Read more For the women’s category, the winning team will receive RM3,000, second place RM1,500 and third place RM1,000, while fourth and fifth place will each take home RM500.
