A sales personnel of a trading company was arrested for allegedly stealing a laptop worth P30,000 from their office the other day in Pasig City.
Police Col. Hendrix Mangaldan, Pasig City police chief, identified the suspect only as “Arc,” 23, a sales personnel residing in Barangay Bagong Ilog, Pasig City.
The qualified theft case stemmed from a complaint filed by an employee of Mr. Billy Trading located along R. Jabson Street in Barangay San Joaquin, Pasig City.
Mangaldan said that on May 18, 2026, complainant Ms. Domingo, an administrative staff member of Mr. Billy Trading, reported to the Pasig City Police that her laptop went missing at around 7 p.m. that same day.
She said her ASUS Vivobook laptop and charger, valued at P30,000, suddenly disappeared after being left plugged in inside their office for some time.
After reviewing CCTV footage, the complainant identified the suspect as alias “Arc,” one of their sales personnel.
Immediately after the incident was reported, personnel from the San Joaquin Police Sub-Station, together with the complainant, conducted a follow-up operation that resulted in the arrest of the suspect and the recovery of the stolen laptop.
A case for qualified theft is now being prepared against the suspect.
Mangaldan commended the Pasig City police team for the swift arrest and immediate recovery of the laptop.
