Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has been discussing their striker search this summer.

Brazzo admits they made an attempt for Erling Haaland before he left Borussia Dortmund for Manchester City.

"It had become clear that it might not work for both sides," Salihamidzic said, referring to the financial demands involved.

"That's why he's playing for Manchester City now and that's why we have other players."

On a future move for Tottenham striker Harry Kane, he added: "It's too early to talk about it. We have eight players for four positions."

And asked about an attempt for Manchester United veteran Cristiano Ronaldo, Brazzo concluded: "It was out of the question for us because we did other things and previously organised our attack in such a way that it was closed."
