MANILA, Philippines — The fourth edition of the Usapang Plaridel: Campus Journalism Workshop Series will resume at the Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) in Ermita, Manila on Sept. 23.
The event is presented by the Association of Philippine Journalists-Samahang Plaridel. EAC President Jose Paulo Campos welcomed the holding of the workshop.
Veteran journalists "will share their knowledge during the one-day event aimed at upholding the high standard of journalism even in the digital age,” the group said in a statement.
Participants will learn about editorial/news writing from Patricia Pangilinan Esteves of the Philippine Star, feature writing from Nestor Cuartero of the Manila Bulletin, sportswriting from Reynald Magallon of the Manila Bulletin/Tempo, and radio broadcasting from Benjie Alejandro of Abante Radio.
Samahang Plaridel President Evelyn Quiroz will present the certificate of participation to more than 80 campus journalists.
The Samahang Plaridel held workshops at the E. Rodriguez Jr. High School, New Era High School, and Jose P. Laurel High School.
A journalism workshop at St. Clare College-Caloocan is set for Oct. 2.
