MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has issued a series of proclamations declaring special non-working days in different municipalities to allow residents to participate in the celebration of their respective festivities.
September 21 was declared a special non-working holiday under Proclamation No. 1437 in Aguinaldo, Ifugao, moving the celebration from Sunday to Monday, the initial celebration date, so residents could fully participate in the town's founding anniversary.
Under Proclamation No. 1438, a special non-working day was declared on September 29 for the City of Tayabas, Quezon, to celebrate its city fiesta.
On September 30, the Municipality of Bagabag, Nueva Vizcaya, will commemorate its founding anniversary under Proclamation No. 1439.
The President also issued Proclamation No. 1440 declaring October 2 a special non-working day in the Dinagat Islands for the celebration of its charter anniversary.
Under Proclamation No. 1441, October 5 has been declared a special non-working holiday in Del Gallego, Camarines Sur, to mark the municipality's founding anniversary.
On October 7, Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur will celebrate the 35th “Araw ng Guipos” (Day of Guipos), a special non-working day under Proclamation No. 1442.
